Sinks apollo and Zeus: thickness back in the spotlight

The design of the Apollo and Zeus washbasins recounts and embodies the choice of a stylistic evolution that marks a point of discontinuity with previous trends that, for a long time, worked on proposals that emphasised ultra-slim and minimalist profiles.

The greater thicknesses add a touch of boldness to the visual presence and emphasise the pleasure of touching the material full-handed. The shapes refer in a stylised manner to the basins and washbasins of past memory, giving the basin full three-dimensionality and an almost sculptural presence.

Apollo – in the two round and oval variants – and Zeus are designed to be easily adapted to both free-standing and flush-mounted installations.

Focus on details: perimeter and drain, continuity of form and colour

For the Zeus and Apollo lines, Edoné underlines the concept of attention to volumes, emphasising it also in the choice of the design of the drain. This, in fact, takes up exactly the shape and proportions of the external perimeter of the washbasin and is reproposed in the same finish, to highlight that play of full volumes and continuous surfaces that characterise the concept of these new washbasins. An elegant feature that captures the pleasure of looking and holds it, softly, without any interruption.

Materials and finishes

Apollo and Zeus are available in the finishes Stonematt, Stonecolor (in all matt Edoné colours), Grit Stone and in the finishes Grit Resina Bio and Warm by Kerakoll.

Apollo freestanding on round unit

Edoné presents a preview of the Apollo washbasin also in a freestanding solution at the Salone del Mobile 2024. The generous thickness of its design and the clean lines of its form lend themselves perfectly to this solution: placed on a round floor base, its overall development has a clear reference to the aesthetics of classical columns.

Detached from the wall, this solution allows great flexibility in positioning and designing the overall layout of the bathroom, especially in those design situations that seek distinctive elements with a strong scenic impact.

Focus finishing: new texture Cheope

Cheope is the new texture, dedicated to Edoné wood finishes, previewed at the Salone 2024. Cheope reproduces an interesting texture on a triangular cross-section, obtained by a milling operation on solid wood. The effect refers to a surface that marries the still-rising trend of cannulated solutions, combined with the novel element of the triangle design.
