New Caldera washbasin and preview of CERSAIE 2022 innovations

Among the new proposals Edoné presents for 2022 is the new Caldera washbasin. Its evocative name intuitively references the original idea behind the creation of this new monobloc countertop: the washbasin, with its concave form reminiscent of a volcanic crater, extends its perimeter and its functionality. Much like the stylized flow of volcanic lava, it overflows its role as a mere container, gracefully spreading outward to elegantly occupy the countertop space. It unites seamlessly into a single form, fulfilling both the functions of a hand basin and countertop protector.

This design, both functional and evocative, makes Caldera the perfect solution for furniture and support surfaces in wooden or lacquered finishes. "Concept and functionality must go hand in hand in our projects. Each time we add a new item to our catalog," explains Marco Bortolin, designer of Caldera, "we think about how it can enhance the usability of beauty. Our mission is never having to choose between beauty and functionality—we want them both. Only if we feel fully free to use a furnishing can we truly enjoy it."
